start point

I feel a little bit hard to say openly that I restart to study to take the NY bar exam. So I would like to say here to do that.

I'm now supposed to change my position in my job in July, then it will be difficult to attend the class in the lawschool after my work because new job will make me stay at the office late at night.

Therefore, I plan now to take recess the course of the lawschool unless circumstances will not change although I know that I should go to the lawschool without such recess and prepare the Japanese bar exam.

I cannot quit my job for the time being, however, I need to continue my job. So I've thought now that during the recess I would like to take the NY bar exam again.

In fact, I don't know if I can take several or more days off my work and go to NY at the new workplace, but I want to take my efforts on it.

I know that I am the person who can't stop doing my best to something. After keeping hold a hurt feeling and pondering the meaning of a life, I could get one idea as of now.

People cannot avoid some severe happenings through our lives. As sometimes we cannot do anything against that, we can do only accepting those things as they are.

It is easier for us to keep devastated from various kinds of sufferings. In my guess people can keep suffering during a long time they want. However, I think that a person shouldn't be there for a long time. God gave us an ability to forget. This ability is so strong that we forget anything, even one that we never want to forget forever. But anyway thanks for that, hurt feeling becomes cured little by little in the course of our everyday life.

I need to be smily, gentle, generous and kind to people around me. Rather than staying depressed and being at loss, I have to be a person who can help my family and friends when they are in hardships and give a happy feeling even a little in such cases.

The person whom I now respect is Reiko Chiba. Although she is famous ex-idle (celebrity) and the president of IT company, in fact she keep suffering from her mental illness and also her son's. Reading her blog several years ago when she was suffered from more severe mental situations, I can feel her hurt feeling from her depression. She was sad, got devastated, I could get that really easily.

However, she, which I think she is great, kept trying to help others even in that situation. She started to do yoga, brushed up yoga techniques or knowledge intensively, and opened yoga studio. People get together around her. This must be from her personality and her firm belief which she want to save someone. There are a clear and pure belief which only a person through harsh experiences can reach, which I always feel and respect. And I want to be such a person who can share someone's hurt feelings and also happiness.

memento

I don't want to write the following because doing so by itself brings cutting pain to me. In spite of that I feel I need to write, as I don't forget what is sadness.

A friend told me on a story of a housewife who laughed just after her husband died. Why she did so? That's because sorrow is bottomless. If she doesn't laugh, a deep, dark, bottomless depression just takes her. In short, she "had to" laugh.

A person stand on a very fragile floor. Once it broken, just fallen. A person can be fallen deeper and deeper. This is not only one person's story, but everyone has such possibilities as same.

At present actually I do not have any effective prescriptions against sorrowness although I hope I have. I am still in the dark well. Someone says to me that time soothes everything. Another says "just forget everything except for saving yourself." I think both of them are correct.

Everytime I have a free time, sorrow penetrates and torments me chronically. Maybe this continues for a while (admitting this is also a pain.) But, I want to hope strongly I should not be a heroine of a tragedy. I am really happy to have a family and friends, who are so nice to me. And this kind of sadness could happen to everyone, who lives with such sadness together, but they're so strong and bright. I have to be a person who can save others' sadness. In order to be so, I need to know what is sadness, live with them and laugh.

Still I'm at a loss and I can't think anything well. Only I can say is I just have something to do just now. So at the time like this I believe the best way is just dancing, dancing better.
A Little Tired

Here, I can't help admit my tiredness... I know that it would be positive if I could say that I did not care anything about. I know why. I always sit up late at night. I do not like to get asleep.

Recently, my Sundays and Saturdays are filled by going to the cramschool(Tatsumi). I usually take two classes a day, one of which takes about 3 hours and a half. Also sometimes I need to take some English exams or mock exams.

I'm busy with those works, but I know at the same time that is good for me. If I have free time, I might think useless trifles.

Last weekends, I didn't go to the cramschool at all because I had to complete to prepare my reports for my job. This report was supposed to be submitted in May, so I didn't prepare so well. At first, I was upset about that for a while.

The work, however, was not so huge or troublesome. If I can put together pieces of my little knowledge, a report seemed to be finished, and actually that was. On Sunday, I slept almost all day because I suffered from hangover because of cacktails on Friday. And on Saturday I could go to the gym for my favorite Yoga class. I felt that my body recovered at all.

And today, I am feeling tired again. Last night I went to bed at 3 am. I know I need, no, must get good deep sleep, but I can't although I don't know why. But anyway I am now tired, so I hope I can sleep tonight...

Doblog 2...

At this time, I really should give up Doblog... Doblog seems to be totally abandoned without repairs...

It is easy to change my blog into Blogger. But one thing I was worried about is that I cannot leave the message about my moving because I can't post any articles on doblog... So I really hope that Doblog will recover the service of posting as soon as possible. One posting is ok for me now...

Let me change the story. Today I went to take the Toefl exam. Actually I can say that I have got used to this test. I, however, do not get used to speaking section.

Today's speaking exam was really hard for me. At the first question, I wanted to have many coughs, and as a result I couldn't answer with any satisfaction. Also at the following question, I couldn't come up with good expressions and felt suffered.

I have little idea on how I can speak what I want to say more frequently. I can express what I want through writing like this blog, but not through speaking. Maybe this owes that I rarely speak English in recent situations, and I need to go to anywhere I can speak English such as some kind of school or so.

I felt overwhelmed by today's speaking test and lost my confidence, which is originally really little...

I actually feel dumped because I can't stop my idea that I can do nothing even if I try various things. Recently, I can't stop feeling that I am the bad person who has no ability.

Kept suffering from such ideas, I barely found a stream of light that today's experience make me remember that I need to try again. And I believe that keeping efforts should make me better than doing nothing. I have no alternatives but do keep my efforts. And keeping efforts definitely will support mentally.

As my last goal, I hope that I can enjoy my efforts. I know that for this goal I need to recover my mental state for the time of being. But, anyhow, it is a kind of ideal if I can enjoy a process toward my dream. And anyway now, I'm keeping telling myself that happiness will come by itself if I keep doing what I decide on I should do. And keeping efforts make me forget a lot of hardships in everyday life, and will save me eventually.

Peepo-kun of the metropolitan police

<img style="float:right; margin:0 0 10px 10px;cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_Rzj70nEo-vk/SbUaVPN9QpI/AAAAAAAAAnw/o8NRBJtlZ60/s320/090110_0954~0001.jpg" border="0" alt=""id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5311180287718015634" />

He's soooo cute, don't you think so?

Doblog...

Doblog keeps out-of-service for several weeks, which is enough long to make me change the blog ("yuina") into the other service...

And I guess that also NTTData (the administrator) is now thinking the same thing. The company has just started to offer the exporting tool for users to move out.

Doblog is my first blog. And I've been feeling something warm to Doblog. Even if Doblog stopped its service many times, I kept using it and stuck to it...

Anyway, it may be a time that I should change my main blog...into Blogger. Blogger offers the import tool, which is just like a saviour for not only me but Doblog.

In moving the blog, I am now considering how well the characteristics of each my three blogs (yuina / That's the way of my life / to be a lawyer) should be positioned.

It'll be good that "To be a lawyer" should be a diary for my goal to be a lawyer in both US & Japan. Then, this blog "That's the way of my life" will be my English blog, which I can write anything freely in English. The main purpose of this blog is improvement of my writing skills. At the last, "yuina" will keep my main blog in Japanese. So yuina keeps more general than other two blogs.

http://lawyer-buswell.blogspot.com/

hay fever

Also I am suffering from hay fever... Maybe it will keep annoying me until the beginning of this summer. This allergy makes me feel so bad by itchy nose and uncountable sneezes.

A day before yesterday, I watched several stories of the American TV series "Pepper Denis," called by "Koi-suru Anchor Woman" in Japanese. This drama is about the female reporter of TV news of the station in Chicago. She dreams to be an anchor woman of WEiE News, has many experiences through the job of a reporter, and have a secret crush on the co-worker.

I've watched the drama with English caption. And I felt again that I have so many words or expessions naturally used in common situations I don't know. It is right that if I do not know such expressions, at the same time I would not be able to listen to them correctly. This kind of natural expressions are still so many...

Movie "SATC"

Two days ago, I watched the movie of "Sex and the City (SATC)." Maybe this movie divides two type of people who like SATC and who do not. I'm the former. Since I watched it at the first time, I've been a huge fan of the drama.

Why do I like it? Because I didn't know the kind of other drama like SATC, which features what women in 30s or more are feeling and thinking. I could easily be grossed in the feelings of Carrie, Miranda, Charotte, and maybe Samantha (laugh.. but I like Samanatha's presonality best among them).

Watching the one scene, I could feel some reality for women at the generation. That scene was that at the wedding Carrie smashed her bouquet at Mr. Big who could not enter the site of the ceremony. Until their engagement, she was betrayed by him repeatedly, but despite such events, she thought second and kept her love. Her love, however, was betrayed again at the most important time for women. I felt really sorry with her. Women want to believe a man, but always betrayed...

In the movie, I could find some worthy and impressive words. One is, Miranda said to Steve, "you criticize me?" That's the word I also want to say (laugh).

Also, I was impressed by the word "Miranda never looked back..." This mean, after decision to reconcile with Steve, Miranda decided not to see her backwards. I like this kind of words. I also want not to look back my bad memories, instead to see only futures or new possibilities.

This movie is really good! I would like recommend men and women in thirties, forties, and also more than that who wants to know what is love. We are always the existance who have some complications, but for us it is very important to keep following my own happiness...

Anywhere comfortable

I'm now searching anywhere comfortable to move in, but Tokyo (or Kanto) is too huge to find "my" place.

I have a number of requirements for my place. I know it's verrrry difficult to find "the" room. Followings are just my dreams...

- I love to see a big sky. A place where there are no high buildings are good. Due to the same reason, a place not packed by many buildings is good.

- Green is indispensable for my life. A place where there is no green is not good. Boulevard trees are nice. Also a big park near my house is nice, but I have strict preference on it, not so many parks are suitable for my taste.

- Commuting is still my problem. I do not like to see a huge lump of people in my everyday life. Thus I hate to use Shinjuku and Shibuya station in my commute. Actually I haven't ever commute via those stations, but I can easilly guess how their congestions are in mornings.

- Hopefully, short commuting time is better, but even if it takes time to commute, if I loved that place, I wouldn't mind it.

- I like a bright room penetrated by sunlight. A bright room makes my mind happy. A corner room which can easily get more sunlight is very nice. West-faced room, however, is not good because it will be too hot in summer.

- The nearer a pool, a gym, a public library, a glocery store, are, the more preferable as my place.

I'm now thinking seriously where is my place, and I'm about to find several choices. As I have some time to decide on it, I am still planning to visit new places.

a little trip 2

I drew a fortune slip, which said my very good luck. Umeda is a journalist concentrating on IT issues and Mogi is a researcher on cerebral science belonged to SONY.

They are really optimistic to futures of IT. They believes infinite possibilities from it and they strictly refuse negative views against them.

To tell the truth, I felt a little bit they are too optimistic about risks with IT. But, concurrently, I felt that they will lead our future.

They say in their book that what we should think is not that what our future will be, but that what future we want and how we built it. This is a good word.

Then, since today I've started to read the next book, the Intel CEO, Andrew S. Grove's "Only the Paranoid Survive."

Actually I thought to read Ishigro's novel next but I changed my mind because now I really feel I need to intake much knowledge on IT environments and need to think how IT or IT industries are going forward or what we should do for such future trends.

Grove's English is clear and I guess that it's comparatively easy to read all regardless of the volume. Last week I have read the ex-IBM CEO Gartsner's book "Who Says Elephants Can't Dance?" and I could know about one of the biggest footprints in IT sphere. So next is I think Intel. To think future, I am feeling that I need to know its history. So I am really looking forward to my creating new ideas after digesting such heritage left by great managements.

Google Street View

http://www.asahi.com/politics/update/1010/TKY200810090350.html (Japanese)

The council of Machida City in Tokyo has submitted a proposal to the national government for seeking to establish a regulation on Google Street View.

The proposal says it is certainly useful at some points but really problematic in terms of privacy and security.

Google Street View has started at this August in Japan, and I have no idea if other local governments have same idea or not.

Considering above, it's difficult to say something for sure. It might be a small reaction throughout Japan, but what I felt is such feedback from GSV is really Japanese-like.

In the US, according to the news, people are accepting GSV because such photos are taken from public roads. Same scenes can be seen if a person go there.

I can understand Machida City's proposition. It is very important thing to know and think of how residents in the real world are feeling by GSV because pro-net people sometimes skip what not-net people feel as troubles.

Despite that, I feel sad a little. Probably this is because I am inclined to Anglo-Saxon's personalities and pro-net people.

From my view, Japanese dare not accept new-comers in such cases. And sometimes they don't see the possibilities from them. They just refuse it.

It is possible to say such Japanese behaviors are "prudence," and I also believe that that's a virtue of Japanese. The problem is such virtue and rejection against new things are intertwined closely.

IT industries and its futures

Following the history of IT industries, it seems that the trend moves forward networking from client-server system.

At present, the most hottest word in IT industry is "crowd computing." Even considering into opinions against this, many people would admit that grid computing is gradually and steadily prevailing IT environment.

- How such networked society will affect IT industries?

I'm now thinking that "open innovation" will be one of keywords to answer this question. Many vital softwares related to networking have been born in the sphere of networking.

For example, many communication careers and manufacturers are grappling developments of platforms of mobile phone together. Google has developed an open platform,"Android," and is about to market its product embedded it by cooperating with manufacturers such as Nokia, NEC etc. Also Limo from embedded Linux has now been produced as commercialized phone.

Actually, I am wondering if this trend is good or not for IT industry. Regrettably, it seems IT companies are forced into wars of attrition despite their intention. Price of products becomes falling down at once just after a new release, and companies are coerced into putting next new products in the market after and after.

Which is the best track IT industry should go forward?

This question is very hard to answer. Probably, many people cast doubt on the notion such answer is meaningful for real world at the first place, "business players has to run anyway at the environment provided before them - they have no time to stop to think a while."

Even if such prediction is not an easy task, I believe it would be meaningful enough to use my brain as one person who believes in splendid future of IT society.

The following is memo for my memory...
(Sure, these are still under construction.)

80s

90s
- Wintel dominance
- ('93) Louis Gerstner assumed CEO of ibm
- ibm sold its networking enterprize to AT&T
- ibm had already suffered the loss of PC

00s
- moderate transition from client-server system to networking
- "grid computing"
- virtualization

Present
- "crowd computing"

inside evils

Scared now by the idea sticking to me that I'm a bad person. However, recently, I would like to support my hometown and to let many people know its good aspects.

What makes me change my mind is one tv program. It was a comic show which features "yuru-chara." Yuru-chara is characters for promotion of private companies or governmental organizations. The most famous one is "Hiko-nyan" of Hikone-city. Also "Sento-kun" of Nara prefecture is very famous. During the show, such yuru-characters played some games like Sumo or running. In many cases, such characters are hard to run or act freely, so their movements looked so funny. And, you know, also my hometown's character showed in that program. It's hard to say that the appearance of the character looks sophisticated, but all the more it is really my hometown-like, and looking at him for a long time it becomes lovely more and more...;D

Today's news said that the "yuru-chara" festival will be held in Octber in Hikone-city. Checking more information, I could easily find many characters I watched on the tv show. The characters are so lovely!
http://kigurumi.shiga-saku.net/c8606.html

I haven't known that many governmental office have their own characters. Though I knew some characters like "Pipo-kun" of Metropolitan police and "Custom-kun" of Custom Office, I didn't know more offices have their characters.

One of them is the "Saiban-inko." Saiban-inko has been created by Prosecutor's office of Kyushu district. It was named for the words "Saiban-in" and "Inko(parrots)," and as you can easily guess that this character promotes "Saibanin-seido (new Japanese jury system)" And more surprising thing is that the Minister had wore this "Saiban-inko." His name is "Hato (pigeon)-yama." So the headline of this article is "A pigeon becomes a parrot." Picture is worth a thousand words...
http://www.asahi.com/national/update/0523/TKY200805230278.html

This news was too funny and a little bit shocking simultaneously...but anyway my point is that some characters among them are playing the important roles for PR of regional areas in japan. You know the economies of japanese regional side has been battered, and promotion of sightseeing business is said to be useful for revitalizing powers of such regional economies. So I hope yuru-charas will be more focused on with their hometown and good aspects of them.
http://www.tottori-guide.jp/fileyurukyara.htm
http://www.tottori-guide.jp/fileyurukyaracup-guide.htm

(omake no words)
excise tax 　消費税、物品税
snitch (n)密告者、窃盗、(vi)密告する、(vt)（こっそり）盗む
germane (a) ((to))～と直接の（密接な）関係のある、～に適切な
make disparaging remarks 中傷的な発言をする

merutomo

Recently, I've got two foreign friends whom I exchange emails with. One is living in Canada. The other is living in Tokyo now, but she's from Florida. Both of them are very nice and accessible.

Beside the relationships between us, I feel the importance of knowing natural English foreigners are using actually. She, from Florida, is still young and speaks really youger people's English. She taught me many slangs they often use. And, another she, from Canada, is not so young, and very polite and uses very decent English. I am learning from both of them that English is very changeable depending on persons using it.

Anyway, learning English is not the most important purpose when I am with foreign friends. I would like to keep warm the precious relationships with them.

Did my work!

Recently, I had a great experience in my job. That was amazing for me. That thing is just during four days but I can say that that is tantamount to ten years.

Whenever I go to new place or new environment, as traveling overseas is also applied, I feel that meeting people is the most exciting. This time is also that I can say so.

During four days, I met many people. Here, I cannot write that, but all of them I met are very smart, responsible, kind, generous and accessible. I am feeling now that I could know that some person is what a person is like.

Also, I learned that how I should act in global situation. It is very important that I dive into a person without hesitation believing in the notion that people are just people, not something fearful.

Once opening a window, there has been a beautiful scenary -- that is the word which applies to my present feeling now. I was a outfielder and not a good slugger actually, but anyway I can say that I at that time was really absorbed in playing softball. I kept running of 2 kilometers everyday, exercising my mustles, participating in the club everyday, and training myself even if I skipped the classes in the school. ;D

After watching the softball games in Olympic Games, I restarted my training. Last week, I went to the gym and ran 8 kilometers in about one and a half hours (I know this may be on a slow pace, but it's ok for me and for a start). Now I mean to earn more distance by more training (My goal is a marathon!).

Also, I checked the website of Pia (ticket shop website) and bought tickets of Japan League in autumn. The ticket covers several games in the Hodogaya ballpark, which includes the game of Hitachi Software and Leopalace 21. Hitach has Rei Nishiyama, SS of the Olympic team, and other 2 Olympic players. Also Leopalace's captain is Rie Sato, 1B of the Olympic team. Nishiyama and Sato are my favorite players (I confess that I am a huge fan of them.). Even now, I am really excited about the plan of going to watch their play and can't wait the time is coming!!!

First posting

This is the first post in Blogger. Still now I have little idea what I should write. But, one thing I can say is that I want to be really like as I am through expressing myself in this site. Maybe sometimes that is like exploring in unknown world, which is even within myself.

In everyday life, I feel pressure that I should act rightly and I should adjust myself into the right way of thinking or common knowledge. By such kinds of thinking, I am always tired. I guess and believe that those who have such kind of thinking is not only me.

Here, I would like to seek myself, the way I am. So I titled this blog "That's the way of my life". I guess that I am the last person I do know what this site will be going in future. But that is very exciting for me.
